From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same- the lord’s name is to be blessed & praised
Bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is within me bless His Holy name
Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not ALL His blessings
It is easy to give God our leftover energy at the end of a exhausting week. But the Sabbath invites us to bring our whole selves to Him. Not just a polite nod of gratitude, but an all-out, deep-from-the-gut cry of worship. Bring your joy, your weariness, your hopes, and your anxieties, and let all that is within you bless His holy name. He wants the real, unfiltered you.
As we enter into this Sabbath rest, forgive us for the times we have allowed the busyness of life to make us forget Your goodness. Today, we choose to remember Your provision, Your protection, Your grace, and Your unwavering love. Thank You for the gift of this rest.
We thank you for the healing you have provided Samira and ask for continued protection and strength to go through her treatment. We pray for Joan for her chemo and Lisa's daughter who is stable. We pray for Lisa as she looks at restarting her own life after cancer. We thank you for the healing of mind and strength you have provided Jen and we pray for her chemo sessions. We also pray for Alison's daughter, for relief from her disease and peace for Lisa and Alison. At this time we pray very specially for Nina, for her medical tests and earnestly request that all her tests show a positive outcome.
For a father who is fighting for his life in the ICU right now. For Colleens grand daughter of 2 years to heal completely from 2nd degree burns;Help us to calm the storm within us and remember that - true peace comes not from the absence of trouble but from the presence of the One who holds all things together.
We pray that we none of us are prone to spiritual amnesia and forget the prayers answered last month because we are so focused on the stress of today and tomorrow. The Sabbath is our divine pause button—a dedicated time to look backward and count our blessings.May Your peace fill our home, may Your presence restore our souls, and may our hearts overflow with thankfulness today and always.
Shabbat Shalom! May your day be filled with deep rest, holy reflection, and a renewed sense of wonder for the One who holds it all.
