Stop Imagining!

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (KJV)

Do you remember your mother saying, "Stop imagining things!" when our "child imagination" ran riot? While she is not there that advice is still valid for us today. Why? Because your imagination is the fertile breeding ground for Satan. KJV has this to say about it-
"Walking in victory isn't something that happens by accident in our lives; it is the result of daily, intentional mind management. We must realize that the enemy’s primary battlefield is the theater of our imagination. He tosses in thoughts of failure, fear, and inadequacy, hoping they will take root and grow. But we have a divine defense system: the Word of God and the power to fix our minds on heavenly things. When we saturate our minds with Scripture daily, we aren't just reading a book; we are building a fortress (Psalm 91:2). A spirit that is fed on the Word becomes strong enough to keep the flesh shut. We cannot have a victorious life with a defeated mind. By choosing to think about what God says rather than what the world screams, we effectively starve the enemy's schemes and empower our spirits to lead.
We are the gatekeepers of our own thoughts. Do not allow the enemy to set up camp in our minds with lies and "what-ifs." Spiritual maturity is found in the believer who actively casts down every thought that doesn't line up with the Bible. Strengthening our walk involves a daily immersion in Truth, ensuring that our spiritual muscles are stronger than our physical impulses. When we fix our minds on things above, we find that the problems on earth lose their power to panic us (Colossians 3:2). Let our thoughts be filtered through the Word today. Yield your "mental real estate" to the peace of Christ."

Arrow Prayer
Father, I thank You for the power of Your Word to renew and transform my mind today. Help me to stand guard over my thoughts and quickly cast down every anxious or negative imagination that tries to exalt itself against Your truth. Amen.
